Whether you are commissioning a public or private painting through Surreality Art, the unknown process can be quite intimidating when not knowing what to expect or what questions to ask. Here you can find more information on how to commission a painting through Surreality Art.

GENERAL OUTLINE of the COMMISSION PROCESS:
To Purchase an Existing Artwork, Commission a One-of-a-Kind Painting, Purchase a Gift Certificate or simply have a question or for general information, call or email me anytime.


When commissioning a personal piece of artwork with Surreality Art, you will be asked for a 35% down payment on purchased materials or given the option to pay in full, once the size or price range of your art piece has been established. You will be contacted to establish all your art preferences including any information or reference materials you may wish to have incorporated in the painting.

Once the 35% down payment for materials is received, you will be contacted periodically throughout the creation to completion process while providing you with further information. This information is to help walk you through the various stages of the purchase and creation process of a commissioned art piece.

Typically three work-in-progress photos will be emailed to you throughout the creation process. Upon completion, you will be sent a high resolution digital photo of the artwork. This is done to ensure that you are getting exactly what you are wanting and will be 100% satisfied with the purchase of your art piece.

Upon the final approval and payment in full, the artwork will then be shipped directly to you via Fed-Ex with a signature release.


OPTIONAL:

Perhaps you would like a painting based upon a general theme or object(s) while giving the artist full creativity in the paintings creation. If you prefer to be surprised when the painting shows up at your doorstep for the great unveiling while seeing it for the first time, that is fine too.
Whatever you are wishing for within this art adventure is totally up to you and your personal preferences!


RETURNS & ADDITIONAL PURCHASE PROCESS INFORMATION

PRICING & SIZE:
The price of Surreality Arts paintings are based upon it's one of a kind original characteristics, time and complexity within the creation to completion process along with its purchased materials price. *Note: When buying an art piece from Surreality Art, you are buying an exclusive and affordable art piece directly from the artist saving you from additional commission rates, market values and gallery prices.

DOWN PAYMENTS:

When commissioning a painting through Surreality Art, once the canvas size and price range has been established, I will ask for a 35% deposit down for time and materials towards the initial creation of the art piece. *Optional:  You can chose to make a one-time purchase payment of the painting in full. All transactions are made available online via PayPal. For more information on PayPal, see the "Payment Process" section below.

FINAL PAYMENTS:
A high quality digital photo will be sent to you in completion of the artwork for your 100% Satisfaction. You then pay the remaining balance due via PayPal which in turn the artwork will be wrapped and shipped to you. If you are shipping to an alternate address (such as a gift purchase) be sure to include the shipping address upon payment completion.

SHIPPING & BUYING DIRECT:
*Note that buying direct from the artist will save you from added fees!
When buying a completed piece of artwork from Surreality Art, you are buying a piece of Fine Art directly from the artist, saving you from commission rates, market values and gallery prices. Your purchase price includes shipping, shipping materials, creation time and art materials have already been reflected in the total price. Alaska, Hawaii and all deliveries outside the continental U.S will have additional shipping fees. Contact Surreality Art for more information.

LIMITATIONS OF AVAILABLE ARTWORK(S):
All the featured artwork created by the Surreality artist is sold on a first come first serve and limited time basis only! All the artwork created by the Surreality Artist are solely one of a kind artist originals in both concept and creation, consequently the art piece that you see available today, will be sold tomorrow, and no reproductions will be made thereafter.

Contact me directly within 7 days, via phone or email, for any returns and/or damaged item(s) received.

If upon delivery to you, in the course of shipping, the item has been damaged, 1. written notice, 2. proof of damage, and 3. proof of purchase, is required for an electronic credit refund. There will be an electronic credit refund to you via PayPal, for any damaged item that is returned with proof of purchase, within 7 days of the purchase/shipping arrival date.

Refund shipping (for returned materials, back to the buyer) will be paid by me/the buyer upon the return of damaged item(s) pending on written notice, proof of damage, and proof of purchase. For returned items without damage, a one-time cost of shipping will NOT be included in the refund price.

All items must be returned in their original packaging, as not to receive the returned item further damaged or defective. Any damaged or defective items will not have the shipping costs returned without qualification of the written notice, proof of damage and proof of purchase needed to meet the full refund criteria by the shipping company/business used. In such a case, there will be an electronic credit refund via Pay Pal in the price amount of the artwork itself, a one-time cost of shipping will not be included in the refund price.

For all returns outside of the continental U.S, an additional return charge fee will apply to expedited deliveries or deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii and all deliveries outside the continental U.S.


PAYMENT PROCESS:

PayPal is an e-commerce business allowing electronic payments and money transfers to be made through the internet via bank account, Debit Card, Credit Cards and all other forms of payment. PayPal is one of the safest and most secure ways to send money online. All of Surreality Arts transactions are made via PayPal. You do not have to register for a PayPal account, you can simply make a onetime payment.

PAYMENT PLANS:
Payment plans with Surreality Art via PayPal can be made upon request. This is preferred only if you cannot pay for a piece of artwork in full. Payment plans of three (or more) monthly installments. Upon receiving the payment in full, the art piece will be shipped directly to you.
